Well today was quite amusing I guess you could say. I would say about 80 percent of the time, if you walk in my home, Gavin will be naked. I know it's kinda strange and maybe even a little weird that this 2 year old is constantly naked. Well we have tried it all. The one thing that seems to work is duct tape. He cant pull it off, therefore he's not going around peeing everywhere. He loves to watch the pee come out like a rainbow. I know it's kinda weird. Or maybe its a man thing, I don't know. Anyways, we are currently out of duct tape which has my baby running around with no diaper. However I am not running to the store to buy more because he is actually trying to use the potty. Pretty exciting. Well today, I see him trying to pee into a cardboard box. So I yell,"No Gavin, go to the potty". I then begin to clean up the pee because I know that he is able to get on the potty alone. The next thing I hear is splashing coming from the bathroom. That is never a good thing coming from the bathroom. Usually he is actually in the sink with the water running! Crazy kid! Here is a little video I took of him while he was having the time of his little life. I think most mothers would jerk their child out of that toilette and put them striaght in the tub. Me, no way, I have to get this on video to show all the ladies when he's a teenager! hahahaha Not to mention the fact that I just cleaned the bathroom! Enjoy!

SSGT NUCKLES

This past Saturday we loaded up the kids at 0730 to watch Aaron's promotion. We have waited a long time for this day to come let me tell you! So anyways, we get to PMO and all of Aaron's guys are there as well. I was pretty happy about that. With it being so early in the morning I wasnt sure how the turn out would be. We then all go up to this little room where the promotion begins. They read the warrant which says all sorts of things, I cant really remember, then it was time to pin him on. Which basically means, we remove his old chevrons and replace with his new Staff Sergeant chevrons. Usually, this is done by a higher ranking marine that the promotee respects but Aaron decided that he wanted us to do it instead. The kids tried to put each chevron on but were having some trouble with it so I helped them out. Im sure that will be something they will always remember. After all of that, the guys all chipped in and bought Aaron a name plate for his desk. I thought that was pretty awesome.

Here are a few of the pictures taken from that morning.

Typical Day After School

Well today i decided to break out my camera for some pics of my babies after school. A typical after school day consists of us walking home from school. I make the kids a snack. Then Jadyn usually goes outside to play with her friends. For Mason, we usually have about 1 hour of homework. Yuck!!!!! I hate homework! After that Mason is outside for some fun with his buddies. Here are a few pics of their afternoon. When the street lights come on, they know its time to come in! Enjoy!

Roller Slides are Awesome!!!!!

This past Saturday we took the kids to a pretty cool little park off base. Okinawa parks are so much different than the parks we have in the states. The main difference is probably the roller slides. They are so much fun. Here are a few pics of our day.

Blues Shirt Day at KES

Well it's Friday morning here in Okinawa which also means that it is blue shirt day at school. Most all the kids wear their school shirts on Fridays. It's pretty neat to see a sea of blue on Fridays. They also get a sticker from their principal that they all wear proudly! This happens during lunch. He goes around to each child and puts the KES sticker on theur shirt. If you dont wear the shirt then you dont get a sticker. Here are a few pictures that I took before school. I would also like to add that Aaron and I sure do make some purty babies!

My babies

Well today my babies walked to school. All alone. Without their mama. I had to take a few pictures of them on their way. We usually walk to the school but today I let them go without me. I guess they better enjoy this little bit of freedom while they can because when we are back in the states this would NEVER happen. Thats one of the many reasons I love this island. The safety. My kids are safe here. They can play outside and I dont have to worry about them getting kidnapped. Its a wonderful thing.

Mason the Cub scout

Here are a few pictures of Mason in his cub scout uniform. He is such a big boy now! It makes me kinda sad.
